I am writing to register my strong opposition to the Mt. Nimham Model Forest Project. I believe this forest should be preserved for future generations, to safeguard water quality, and to protect recreational opportunities and the wildlife that live in this forest. Putnam County is a rapidly growing county and we need to protect this forest and others for their aesthetic and environmental value, and allow them to become Old Growth forests.
