Mayor Gary Lopriore the alternate energy source will save city residents consider amounts of money.
“The one building specifically that I am happy about is our water filtration plan, which uses an excessive amount of electricity, as well as our municipal building,” he said. “We hope that once the installation is completed, we will be able to save our taxpayers upwards of $25,000 a year in savings for energy.”
The city applied for the funds several months ago and was recently notified of the grant.
