Project Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application for a new State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit, pursuant to 6NYCRR Part 750, for the discharge of 750 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste water to the Hudson River (Index # H, Class B). The proposed sewage treatment plant will service existing infrastructure, which formerly discharged un-treated waste into the Hudson River. These premises are being converted into professional office space with a single dwelling unit.

In addition, construction of the proposed rip-rap outfall will disturb the banks of the Hudson River and will requires a Stream Disturbance Permit, pursuant to Article 15.

A draft SPDES permit with DEC proposed effluent limits and monitoring requirements is available for review at DEC Region 3 headquarters in New Paltz. [...]
