Hello Jeff, I was wondering if you would be interested in joining me for the People Against Domestic Violence’s “Bring a Friend” day scheduled for Friday March 5th, at Noon at Georges place? I can forward you the minutes from the last meeting, fortunately the PADV is not defunct, the mission is in tact, however, the support needed in order to advance the education element, is something that appears to be up against resistance. In doing what I have always done and will continue to do, it is a possibly attainable goal to get mandated programs in place (eventually) in our NYS High Schools as an actual curriculum. However, without the support of an established non-profit, or county run organization, it is the people or citizens that will have to speak up to get the job done. With this being said, I am hoping to facilitate an undertaking of supporters….including you. Let me know, if you want to come to the meeting, and perhaps even a representative from the HS will Our next committee meeting will take place on Friday, March 19th, 10am-12:30pm, at the Katonah Library. We’ve met at this location at least once in the past; it is close to I-684 and within a block of the train station, so hopefully is easily accessible for everyone to attend. The Westchester Land Trust will be serving as our hosts. If you have any topics you’d like added to the agenda, please send them to me for inclusion. Hope you’re able to attend. I will be asking for RSVPs closer to the meeting, so WLT can plan for seating and refreshments. Thanks, Andy Andrew T. Chmar Executive Director Hudson Highlands Land Trust (845)424-3358 www.hhlt.org
