The project sponsor proposes to place 3000 square feet of fill (Item 4) to repair a pre-existing access road within the property located at 1030 Peekskill Hollow Road. The access road is located within the State regulated 100 foot wide adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland OL-37.

Good Monday Morning,
My propane company (Burnwell) just delivered 85 gallons of propane and billed me $6.039 per gallon plus a $9.99 “admin fee”. Plus taxes, the total bill was $524.15. The bill says they made the delivery on December 23rd but they left no receipt of any kind, at least non that I saw.
Last summer I asked Burnwell to deliver only when I call for a delivery so I have a call in for them to come and take their latest 85 gallons out of the tank. Being that the tank is 250 gallons and I assume the meter on the truck stops when the tank registers as full, that should leave me 165 gallons which is plenty until I can afford to get more. Does anyone want to take bets on what they’ll do? Does Putnam County have a consumer service division or ombudsman?

Rumor has it I’ll be running for Supervisor of the Town of Kent in 2011. I heard that the other day – from the current Supervisor – who said she’d heard it from someone else. Well, whoever is spreading that rumor should let me know about it, don’t you think?

Putnam County – The Putnam Valley Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Warex Terminals Corp. will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a 2.87 ± acre property within the CC-2 Zoning District. The subject property is currently developed with a 2,260 ± square foot convenience store and eight 8 fueling stations with associated parking. The applicant is proposing to install two 2 additional fuel pumps four 4 additional fueling stations, extend the existing canopy, expand the parking area, and make various landscaping and stormwater improvements. Additional underground fuel storage tanks are not required to facilitate the proposed action.
