Last week I wrote about how Congresswoman Nan Hayworth took the side of corporate America when faced with the question of what she would do about major corporations that paid no income taxes. It seems that companies like GE, who earned $14.2 billion last year with $5.1 billion of that coming from US earnings, paid $0 in taxes. And who did Barack Obama select to head his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness? GE’s Chief Executive Jeffrey Immelt. It’s better than a fox in a hen house. And you know, now that Congress *and* the President are both in lock-step (or is that goose-step?) with the Corporations it’s only going to get worse. [...]

“I hurt many innocent people,” former racist skinhead Arno Michaels states plainly, painfully. “Not only with my hands, but by infecting others with hate and setting them off. My ‘hate metal’ band Centurion sold over 20,000 CDs of brutal music designed to incite atrocity. It’s still popular with hate groups today.”
During the past year, with the destructive effects of bullying receiving national attention, Mequon native Arno Michaels has promoted peace and compassion. The Life After Hate enterprise he started in 2009 engages in community anti-violence programs and is developing an anti-bullying curriculum. The online magazine “Life After Hate” and Arno’s just-published memoir, “My Life After Hate,” are dedicated to highlighting what Arno sees as the innate human need to both give and receive compassion.
The earnest, repentant 40-year-old recently answered questions about his journey from hate-monger to humanitarian.

Road rage, accident centers on Obama bumper sticker
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville man says he and his 10-year-old daughter were victims of road rage Thursday afternoon, all because of a political bumper sticker on his car.
Mark Duren told News 2 the incident happened around 4:30p.m., while he was driving on Blair Boulevard, not far from Belmont University.
He said Harry Weisiger gave him the bird and rammed into his vehicle, after noticing an Obama-Biden sticker on his car bumper.
Duren had just picked up his 10-year-old daughter from school and had her in the car with him.
“He pointed at the back of my car,” Duren said, “the bumper, flipped me off, one finger salute.”
But it didn't end there.

Christian Leader Calls for Glenn Beck Boycott Over 'Social Justice' Comments — Politics Daily
An evangelical leader in Washington called on Christians to boycott Glenn Beck, a week after the Fox News personality told his audience that “social justice,” the term many churches use to describe their efforts to address poverty and human rights, is a “code word” for communism and Nazism.
On his “God's Politics” blog, the Rev. Jim Wallis urged Christians to switch off Beck's popular radio and television programs for good because of his comments about social justice.
Beck told Christians to discuss the term with their priests and pastors and to leave their churches if leaders would not reconsider their emphasis on social justice.
“I don't know if Beck is just strange, just trying to be controversial, or just trying to make money,” wrote Wallis, who heads the antipoverty group Sojourners. “But in any case, what he has said attacks the very heart of our Christian faith, and Christians should no longer watch his show.”
